When are the NBA playoffs?

The 2021–22 NBA season playoffs will begin after the regular season has been concluded. The NBA play-in tournament will also determine which teams will be moving on to the playoffs. NBA Playoffs 2021-22 Schedule

The regular season of the 2021–22 NBA season will end on April 10, 2022. The NBA play-in tournament will begin on April 12, 2022 and it will end on April 15, 2022. The 2021–22 NBA season playoffs will begin on April 16, 2022. The 2021–22 NBA season finals will begin on June 2, 2022 and it is expected to end on June 19, 2022.

NBA Playoffs 2021-22 Format

Out of all the teams in the league, only 20 teams will enter the play-in tournament or the playoffs. A total of four teams will be removed during the play-in tournament. Out of all the teams in the league, only 16 would enter into the playoffs, it would be 8 teams from the Eastern conference and another 8 team from the Western Conference. This would result in a total of eight match-ups in the first round. There will be no byes on wildcard teams in the first round.

In each of the conference, the seventh to tenth seed will enter into the play-in tournament. The seventh and eighth seeds will play only one game and the winner will move on to the playoffs. The runner up will play the winner from the ninth and tenth seeds game. There will be four rounds in the playoffs games and the winner in each would be the best four in the seven games.
